What is a Doberman?
For years the Doberman has been portrayed as a vicious beast that will destroy anything or anyone who gets in its way.  This just simply is not true.
We've all seen them: Those yellow diamond- shaped "Beware Of Dog" signs.  Most of these signs include a drawing of a dog ready to rip you apart.  And yes, you guessed it, that drawing of the ferocious dog is a Doberman.  For decades, Dobermans have suffered from an unfair image.
And what about those shown on TV?  Because Dobermans are so highly intelligent and trainable that they can be cued to show teeth, act aggressive and appear vicious.  Behind the scenes they are sensitive, loving family dogs.
The media has wrongly depicted this wonderful dog as a vicious and untrustworthy, and we the viewers have believed it.  This just simply is not true.  They are far from the vicious dog depicted in the media.  The Dobermans is like no other dog.  They love their humans and at any given moment would give their lives to ensure our safety.
Much of the time they can be called goofy, comical, couch potatoes that think they have every right to 3/4 of your bed.
I can recall the first time I asked my husband for a Doberman.  I have always loved the breed and had wanted one for years.  I will never forget, and remind him of this often; he asked “what do you want one of those mean dogs for?"   He said, “We have too many nieces and nephews (19 to be exact) to have a dangerous dog around”.  I just laughed and said “You'll see”.  Not long after I brought our first Doberman home my husband was forced to admit that he had it all wrong.  Today if you asked him he would tell you that they are the best breed in the world for kids.   Dobermans are highly reliable and extremely trustworthy with Children, especially when raised with them.  They love caring for children and provide them with companionship while also keeping watch over them.  They are always on guard and are aware of any strange noises.  They are ready to act if the need arises.
We live on 30 acres and I rest easy knowing the children are safe when they are our playing because at least one of our Dobermans will always be watching everything that happens and making sure the kids stay safe.
The Ideal temperament of a Doberman is steady, Confident and outgoing.  They are reserved with strangers but willing to accept almost anyone.  They are very astute and can tell by a stranger’s energy if they should be trusted.   They are protective of their family and their home.  If you are lucky enough to be owned by one of these wonder, fun loving dogs you will get to experience what true, unconditional love and devotion really is.  Good luck in your search for the perfect baby, and please let us know if we can be of any help to you.  Who knows, You just might be owned by a Doberman of your own soon!!

If you are looking for a good quality Doberman puppy with a wonderful loving disposition, then your search is over!  Dobermans are one of the most loving, intelligent breeds there are.  A Doberman is one of the Cleanest and most odorless of breeds.  A bath every 8 weeks or so will keep your dog’s coat glossy and gorgeous.  They require lots of love and attention and with proper care will be the best dog you will ever own. They can adapt to apartment living; but will need daily activity such as long walks or playing at the park.  They also do very well living on a farm.  Our dogs have decided it is their job to make sure the horses stay in the pasture.  If one of the horses decides to swim across the pond to get in the yard our dogs will let us know and waste no time herding the horse back a crossed the pond to the pasture
"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader.                                                                           He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.”

Our Dobermans spend all summer out on the lake, or in the boat with us.  During the winter months they enjoy curling up with us by the fire.  No matter what you enjoy doing we can help you choose a puppy that will be a great fit for your family.  Please  make sure to tell us what your life is like so we can help you pick a baby that will enjoy going and doing the things you do.

The Doberman Pinscher is known to be energetic, watchful, fearless and obedient. He is ready to give prompt alarm (and back up that warning) but is also affectionate, obedient and loyal. The breed requires regular exercise, but needs only minimal grooming for his short coat.

In short, dogs are man’s best friends and most faithful companions, but they do bring with them responsibilities and obligations that must be considered by anyone thinking about getting a dog.
Good luck on your search, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me at any time.
